I've lived my life with Sandy as a prominent and colorful thread in my mind's tapestry. Having been moved by her energy at a very young age, she anchored my definition of beauty. Seeing her smile, as she was the last to leave the stage, tossing a drum stick into the grappling crowd, was one of the few times in my life that I've caught a glimpse of pure joy. She was an exhibit of perfection. I always have and always will measure myself and others against this perfect image of love. Now that she permeates all things, I will struggle forever to remember that she's closer to me than ever before.-------------------- JM
